Add your list and start watching

Setup in Emileyt IPTV Player takes a few steps. There is no MAC address registration, no external activation site and no per-device fee.

Important: The app does not provide channels, movies, series or lists. You get a list from a provider you are entitled to use.

Step by step

  1. Install the app. Install Emileyt IPTV Player from the store for your device, or use the AppImage on Linux. Links are on the download page.
  2. Get your list ready. Get an M3U link, Xtream Codes details (server address, username, password) or a .m3u/.m3u8 file from your provider. We do not provide lists; use only sources you are entitled to access.
  3. Open the add-list screen. Go to the add-list screen when you first open the app, or from settings.
  4. Choose a method and enter the details. Paste the M3U link, enter the Xtream details or pick a file from the device. If you set it up on another device, transfer the details with a QR code.
  5. Wait for it to load. A progress bar fills according to the size of the list. Series episodes load on demand when you open a series.
  6. Start watching. Pick from the Live TV, Movies and Series screens. Optionally add favorites, create profiles and PINs and organize categories.

Which method should I choose?

  • M3U link: if your provider gave you a single link. What is M3U?
  • Xtream Codes: if your provider gave you a server address, username and password. The account screen shows the expiry date and connection count. What is the Xtream Codes API?
  • Local file: if you have a .m3u or .m3u8 file saved on your device.
  • Single stream: to paste and play one stream link without saving a list.

Do not type long addresses on a TV

Typing a long link with a TV remote is hard. Set the list up on your phone or computer and transfer the details to the TV by scanning a QR code.

Moving to a new device

Back up your profiles, preferences and settings to a single file and restore it on the new device or directly from the setup screen.

Troubleshooting

  • The list does not load: check that the link opens in a browser, the username and password are correct, the account has not expired and you are within the simultaneous connection limit.
  • A stream stutters: in settings, switch the decoder between Auto, Hardware and Software. On Windows, increase the buffer.
  • The program guide is empty: the XMLTV source and channel matching are on the provider's side; ask your provider.
  • It will not open on Linux: make sure the file is executable: chmod +x Emileyt_IPTV_Player-x86_64.AppImage
